My husband and I were on a 3 1/2 week honeymoon in Italy, and this was our final excursion. We have stayed at several places and met several wonderful hosts, but this was by far the best experience we have had. We had a bit of a hard time getting there due to our own confusion of the correct trains and buses and due to the fact that it was Sunday...I would suggest that you do not travel to a new location on Sunday (if not using a car) because your travel options are limited. Thanks to Mario for giving us such great instruction and constantly checking in with us. He is very professional and a wonderful communicator. Once we got there it was worth it...absolutely beautiful home, amazing view, generous and wonderful hosts. We cannot express enough how wonderful Michele and Anna are! If you are interested in a real Italian experience with real Italian food and family...this is the place! Anna's cooking is amazing! Homemade pastries, limoncello, dinner...and Michele's homemade wine (yum), you name it...amazing! They don't speak English well, but the web translator helped and we had a blast hanging out with this wonderful couple! Their son even drove us to the bus stop the morning we had to leave! If you need a market, go to La Primavera (in town) CHEAP local produce, cheese, wine and wonderful service! The Path of the Gods hike is a must! Come prepared for rain. Most comfortable bed and most wonderful hosts! Grazie Mario, Michele, Anna, Vincenze, and Grandma!

We had a pleasant stay at Mario's place in Trastevere. I can recommend it to anyone without those who have very heavy luggage and don't like stairs:-). Mario responded very quickly to our questions and everything was according to our expectations or better. The apartment is in the middle of the pudding of Trastevere, but even tough not very noisy. Fair walking distance to most of everything.
